Privacy Policy

Last updated: October, 2026

This policy applies to https://ufindly.com and everything that runs on it. It spells out what data Ufindly takes in, what we do with it, who else touches it, and how you can have it changed or removed.

1. The Short Version

  • You can browse Ufindly without giving us anything beyond standard server logs.
  • Signing in with Google shares your name, email, and avatar with us — nothing more.
  • What you put in a submission (name, URL, description, images) is published in the directory; that is the point of submitting it.
  • Payments run through Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers.
  • We do not sell personal data, ever.

2. Information We Collect

From signing in

Accounts are created through Google sign-in. Google passes along your name, email address, and profile picture, and we store those alongside your submission history. We never see your Google password.

From product submissions

Everything you type into the submit form — product name, website URL, tagline and description, category and tag picks — plus the logo and screenshot files you upload. These become part of your public listing once approved.

From payments

Stripe handles checkout and sends us back the facts we need to fulfill your order: transaction status, amount, currency, and an order reference. Full card details stay inside Stripe's systems.

Collected automatically

  • Server logs: IP address, browser and OS signatures, referring page, and request timestamps — kept for security and troubleshooting
  • Usage signals: pages viewed, search terms, product views, and votes, which feed the monthly rankings
  • Cookies and local storage: used to keep you signed in, remember your theme, and measure aggregate traffic

3. Why We Use It

Data exists on Ufindly to keep the directory working:

  • Recognizing you across visits so your dashboard shows your own submissions and orders
  • Reviewing submissions, publishing listings, and linking them to the order that paid for them
  • Counting views and votes honestly, which means filtering duplicate and automated traffic
  • Understanding, in aggregate, which categories and pages people actually use
  • Responding when you email us, and sending transactional notices such as order receipts
  • Blocking spam, fraud, and abuse of the submission or voting systems
  • Meeting accounting and other legal obligations

Promotional email is not part of the product today. If that ever changes, every message will carry a working unsubscribe link.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Three kinds of cookies and storage do the work here:

  • Essential — the authentication session itself; without these, signing in cannot persist
  • Preferences — your light/dark theme choice and similar quality-of-life settings
  • Measurement — Google Analytics, when enabled, reports aggregate visits and behavior so we can tell what is working

Your browser can block or clear any of these. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and break submission flows; blocking measurement cookies only makes our statistics less accurate. To opt out of Google Analytics entirely, install the official opt-out browser add-on.

5. Who Else Gets the Data

We do not sell or rent personal information. A short list of processors runs the platform, and each only receives what its job requires:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the site, serves it globally, stores uploaded images (R2), and runs the database (D1)
  • Stripe — processes payments and fraud checks
  • Google — provides sign-in and, when enabled, analytics

Beyond processors, data leaves us in three situations: with your consent; when the law or a valid court order compels disclosure; or in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale where the data travels with the business. We may also disclose what is necessary to protect the rights and safety of Ufindly and its users.

6. How Long We Keep It

  • Account and profile data: for as long as the account exists. Ask us to delete it and we will, within roughly 30 days
  • Listings: until you ask for removal or we remove them under the Terms of Service
  • Order and payment records: several years, because tax and accounting rules require it
  • Server logs: a rolling window measured in weeks, for debugging and abuse detection
  • Analytics data: kept and aggregated per Google Analytics retention settings

7. How We Protect It

All traffic runs over HTTPS. The production database is not publicly reachable, and image uploads go through short-lived presigned URLs that only permit writing to your own upload key. Access to production data is limited to the people who maintain the site. Be aware that no online service can promise perfect security — treat that promise as a red flag wherever you see it — and if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify affected users.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Wherever you live, we will honor these requests to the extent the law allows — and in most cases simply because you asked:

  • Access — a copy of the personal data tied to your account
  • Correction — fixing details that are wrong or out of date
  • Deletion — removing your account and its personal data
  • Portability — your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection and restriction — limits on how certain data is processed

Email contact@ufindly.com from the address on your account and tell us what you need. We aim to respond within 30 days. Depending on where you are, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Where the Data Lives

Ufindly runs on Cloudflare's global network, and our processors (Stripe, Google) operate their own infrastructures. That means your data may be handled in countries other than your own. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

The directory is built for a general professional audience and is not intended for children under 13 (or a higher age where local law sets one). Accounts are not offered to them, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Policies

Our processors publish their own privacy policies, which govern the data on their side of the fence:

Listings also link out to third-party websites. Once you leave through one of those links, this policy no longer applies.

12. Changes to This Policy

As the product evolves, this page will too. Material changes get a new "Last updated" date and, when they matter enough, a notice on the site before they take effect. The version published here is always the one in force.
