Impeccable skill

Impeccable skill is a design skill for AI coding agents that aims to turn "AI slop" into interfaces you're proud to ship. It gives your agent design expertise so it can build interfaces from scratch, improve what you already have, and stay true to your existing design system.

Key Features

• Command-based design operations: Run commands such as /polish, /distill, /clarify, /typeset, /layout, /colorize, /animate, /critique, and /audit to direct your agent toward specific design goals.
• Design system awareness: Impeccable scans your codebase — tokens, font sizes, spacing steps, components, and DESIGN.md brand rules — and builds within your existing colors, components, and rules so new pages feel like part of the same product.
• PRODUCT.md context: Save your users and their goals once, and Impeccable reads that context before design work so it designs for the job at hand.
• Design hook and detector: A hook checks UI edits as your agent works and sends findings back to the agent. The detector runs in code without an AI model or API key.
• Live Mode: Point Impeccable at a running app, pick elements or steer the whole page, and generate variants to accept back into source.
• Chrome extension: Open the Impeccable panel in DevTools to find design issues on a page in Chrome.

• Polishing an existing page: Ask the agent to polish a pricing page while keeping your sharp corners and sober palette, and the agent runs the detector before handing it back.
• Fixing hierarchy and clarity issues: Commands like /distill and /clarify address problems such as a title and button competing for attention or extra details distracting from the main action.
• Documenting your visual system: Run /impeccable document to record your visual system in DESIGN.md, ready for the next feature or the next agent.

How It Works

1. Install Impeccable via the CLI (npx impeccable install), the Claude Code plugin marketplace, or skills.sh.
2. Initialize your project with /impeccable init to give your agent context about your product and design direction.
3. Turn on automatic checks with /impeccable hooks on, then complete your tool's hook approval steps.
4. Use commands such as /impeccable polish or /impeccable live to refine designs, or set up automated checks in pull requests.
