MyBib

MyBib is a free bibliography and citation generator that automatically formats citations and works cited lists for academic papers. It addresses the time and error involved in manually formatting references by generating citations users can copy straight into their assignments.

Key Features

• Automatic citation creation: Generates formatted citations for books, journals, websites, newspapers, and videos by searching for a title or identifier such as a URL or ISBN.
• Broad style support: Supports APA 6 & 7, MLA 8 & 9, Chicago, and Harvard, plus more than 10,000 additional styles.
• Professional formatting engine: Uses the same citation formatting engine as reference managers like Zotero and Mendeley, so bibliographies follow established style rules.
• Autocite: Automatically creates citations from a search rather than requiring manual entry of every reference field.
• Export options: Download bibliographies to Microsoft Word and Google Docs.

Typical Use Cases

• Essay and paper references: A student searches for each source by title, URL, or ISBN and receives citations ready to paste into an assignment, along with a formatted bibliography.
• Style switching: A writer who needs the same sources presented in APA, MLA, Harvard, or Chicago can regenerate citations in the required style without reformatting by hand.
• Works cited assembly: An academic or teacher compiling a reading list or paper can build a complete works cited page from websites, books, journals, and videos, then download it to Word or Google Docs.
